Xavier Onrubia, MD, PhD, FEAMS

Xavier Onrubia has been a staff member at the Department of Anaesthesia and Critical Care of the Hospital Universitari Dr. Peset in València since 1995. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at the Department of Surgery, School of Medicine in the Universitat de València. He was the mentor of the anaesthesia trainees at the Hospital Universitari Dr. Peset in Valencia from 2000 to 2013.

He joined FIDIVA to promote Airway Management in Spain more than 20 years ago and became a member of EAMS in 2013. He currently participates as a teacher in courses and lectures on Neuromuscular block, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Airway Management (with special involvement in FONA learning).

He has been engaged in several research studies, has published some papers and book chapters and has been reviewer in some anaesthesia journals.

He is proud of his medical specialty but he also enjoys playing outdoor sports, listening to good music and chatting with friends while enjoying some drinks.
